Care and Counseling

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are trained to provide counseling and care to those in need of confidential, compassionate, Christian care-giving. Lay caregivers provide one-on-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, divorced, separated, unemployed, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. Through these relationships those who are hurting receive the love and care they need.

If you would like to talk with a Stephen Minister, please contact the Stephen Ministry Coordinator, Margaret Miller, at 344-3937 or via email at stephen_ministers@springhillpresbyterian.org.

Stephen Ministers are aware of their boundaries and if it becomes necessary, they will help care-receivers obtain professional counseling. Below is a list of professional therapists recommended by the church.

Preparing for Life's Last Journey is a booklet your Stephen Ministers have prepared for your family's use when someone you love has died or is facing death. You can pick up a copy from a Stephen Minister or the church office.
